Live each day with a smile, it makes such a difference ........
I am a qualified spin instructor and have been for many many years now. I use to teach at Fitness First . Obviously when I was diagnosed I stopped but I still trained as much as I could just not spinning.
Warren the manager is such a lovely guy. He allowed us to organise a spinathon for the following year to my diagnosis for the October breast cancer awareness month.
We raised a huge amount for ABC the After Breast Cancer Care Jersey by not only having members spin but with a cake sale, raffle, selling the breast cancer wristbands and bows. It was an amazing day and everyone who entered the gym gave in some way or another. Such wonderful people.
Whilst going through the chemo I was also ring girl for a few of LH Gyms White Collar Boxing Events at The Trinity Showground.
Wig on and off I go . Got to have some fun .
Well ours was actually a wine, nibbles and cake kind of evening instead of the coffee morning. We had games, giggles and lots of cake and of course good old fashion gossip.
I have always ran the Race for Life 5K since my mum passed away with Breast Cancer Xmas day 1999. I have never missed a year yet and I didn’t intend doing so. Here is a few pics to make you smile.
This After Breast Cancer Ball was a fantastic event held by the After Breast Cancer Charity. So many inspiring people who have come so far in their battle. It was truely am amazing evening with wonderful food, entertainment and friends. What more could you ask for.
